“A voice that could melt snow.” — Prince

“Springs proves again to be one of today’s best voices.” — Glide Magazine

“Citing Nina Simone as her inspiration, Springs evinces a similarly powerful beauty, a satin ‘n sinew verve, though her soul-infused sound more strongly suggests Cassandra Wilson by way of Whitney Houston.” — JazzTimes

About Kandace Springs

Kandace Springs, praised by Prince for having "a voice that could melt snow," effortlessly blends soul, pop, and jazz. Discovered by Prince after her captivating rendition of Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" went viral, Springs quickly rose to prominence, gracing prestigious stages and major TV shows, as well as festivals like Afropunk and Bonnaroo.

Her debut EP and subsequent album "Soul Eyes" showcased her mature artistry, drawing critical acclaim for her sensuous vocals and elegant arrangements. Springs, influenced by her Nashville upbringing and her father, Scat Springs, a respected session singer, developed a deep love for music from an early age.

Inspired by Norah Jones, Springs embarked on a musical journey from Nashville to New York and back, culminating in her latest album, "Indigo." This album marks a new chapter in her career, blending classic and contemporary elements with funky undertones and candid lyricism.

Versatile on the piano and captivating as a vocalist, Springs collaborates with drummer-producer Karriem Riggins on "Indigo," effortlessly merging classical compositions with jazz and soulful depths. Each track on "Indigo" delivers a compelling narrative, showcasing Springs' ability to traverse various musical landscapes while staying true to her unique artistic vision.

Embracing the legacy of musical pioneers like Nina Simone, Springs refuses to be confined by genre boundaries. Instead, she crafts an album that celebrates the diverse facets of her identity and musical influences.
