ACCOLADES FOR PRESENTING AND MAKING THE ARTS ACCESSIBLE

Pinecrest Gardens is proud to announce its recognition with two major honors celebrating excellence in accessibility, community impact, and support of arts education.

The Gardens has been named a 2025 Serving the Arts Award Winner by the Arts & Business Council of Miami, in partnership with the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs. Out of more than 400 nominations, Pinecrest Gardens was selected to receive the Arts & Accessibility Award (Organization Category) for its innovative programs and commitment to inclusion. This distinction celebrates arts organizations that create meaningful opportunities for individuals of all abilities to engage in the arts—whether as participants, audiences, or artists.

In addition, Pinecrest Gardens has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the Sara T. Maddox Support of Art Education Community Service Award, presented by the Dade Art Educators Association. This award honors organizations that have made significant contributions to art education in Florida, continuing the legacy of Sara T. Maddox, one of Miami-Dade County’s pioneering art specialists. Past honorees include the Rubell Family Collection and the Bass Museum of Art—placing Pinecrest Gardens among a distinguished circle of arts leaders.

Together, these awards underscore Pinecrest Gardens’ role as a vital cultural and educational hub in South Florida—one that champions access, creativity, and lifelong learning through the arts.
