In honor of National Poetry Month, Orchestra Miami presents Poetry in Music, an evening of symphonic works inspired by poetry.

The focal point of the evening with be a performance of Rimsky Korsakov’s lush and evocative Scheherzade, along with Kurt Weill’s dramatic Walt Whitman Songs, based on his poems about the Civil War.

The 47 musicians of Orchestra Miami perform with Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi, conducting.
