"Eliane Elias is of a generation of aggressive pianists who attack music like a lioness attacking its prey, at the same time expressing a tenderness within the core of her passion that at times has brought me to tears." — Herbie Hancock

Join us for a breathtaking evening as multi-GRAMMY award-winning pianist, vocalist, and composer Eliane Elias brings the warmth and elegance of Brazil to the Banyan Bowl stage in “Jobim Centennial Celebration.” With her luminous voice, virtuosic piano, and singular style, Elias reimagines classics like “The Girl from Ipanema” and ”Desafinado” alongside jazz standards and pop favorites through the lens of bossa nova. Elias is joined by acclaimed bassist Marc Johnson, Brazilian guitarist Leandro Pellegrino, and Brazilian percussionist Rafael Barata.

Elias' April 17 performance arrives just months after the January 2027 release of her album “Jobim Centennial”, a tribute to the late Antonio Carlos Jobim, the legendary Brazilian composer, pianist, guitarist, songwriter, arranger, and singer  on the 100th anniversary of his birth--making Pinecrest Gardens' tropical Banyan Bowl one of the most fitting stages imaginable for this music.
