Born in Miami, Monique Marvez returns home to her Cuban, Venezuelan and Puerto Rican roots with a unique use of on-point humor and take-no-prisoners honesty. Her smart, razor-sharp routines have earned Monique critical acclaim, landing her a one-hour Showtime special based on her life, titled “Not Skinny, Not Blonde”, now steaming live on Netflix. She is a featured performer in “Snoop Dogg Presents the Bad Girls of Comedy”, and was nominated for an Alma Award for “The Latin Divas of Comedy” making it a total of three original Showtime specials. She collaborated with John Gray on writing the stage production of “Men Are From Mars; Women Are From Venus” and wrote an original comedy pilot/series for Dick Wolf at NBC. In addition, she hosted “Dick Clark’s “Rockin’ New Year’s Eve” from South Beach”, where she was viewed by almost 1 billion people. What a way to start the Millennium!
